Trabajando en poner a tiempo un hyundai elantra GLS 1.8L 4cil 2012, les comparto manual, se ocupa para Hyundai Elantra 1.8L 2011/2014
TIMING CHAIN, REPLACE
1.Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.Remove righthand front wheel and tire assembly.
3.Remove righthand under cover.
4.Remove engine cover.
5.Disconnect wiring connectors and harness clamps then remove wiring and protectors from cylinder head cover.
6.Disconnect Intake Oil Control Valve (OCV) connector.
7.Disconnect Exhaust Oil Control Valve (OCV) connector.
8.Disconnect alternator connector.
9.Disconnect ignition coil connectors.
10.Disconnect Intake Camshaft Position Sensor (CMPS) connector.
11.Disconnect Exhaust Camshaft Position Sensor (CMPS) connector.
12.Disconnect breather hose.
13.Disconnect Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose.
14.Remove ignition coils.
15.Remove engine oil level gauge.
16.Remove cylinder head cover bolts in sequence, as illustrated in Fig. 1.
17.Remove cylinder head cover.
18.Drain engine oil into a suitable container and remove oil pan.
19.Remove engine mounting support bracket. Place jack to edge of lower crankcase.
20.Disconnect engine ground line.
21.Remove engine mounting support bracket.
22.Loosen alternator mounting bolts.
23.Loosen tension by turning tension adjusting bolt counterclockwise.
24.Remove drive belt.
25.Remove front engine hanger.
26.Remove alternator, Fig. 2.
27.Remove water pump pulley.
28.Set No. 1 cylinder to Top Dead Center (TDC) on compression stroke, Fig. 3.
29.Turn crankshaft pulley and align its groove with timing mark of timing chain cover, Fig. 3.
30.Ensure that TDC marks of intake and exhaust CVVT sprockets are in straight line on cylinder head surface. If not, turn crankshaft by one revolution 360° more, Fig. 4.
31.There are two methods to hold ring gear when installing or removing crankshaft damper pulley. Install driveplate holder tool No. 09231-2B100, or equivalent, to hold ring gear after removing starter. Install driveplate holder tool No. 09231-3D100, or equivalent, to hold ring gear after removing dust cover, Fig. 5.
32.Remove air guard.
33.Remove two transaxle mounting bolts and service cover on bottom of lower crankcase.
34.Adjust length of holder so that grooves of holder puts into ring gears at closest position.
35.Adjust angle and length of links so that two transaxle mounting bolts can be fastened into original mounted holes.
36.Install driveplate holder tool using two transaxle mounting bolts. Tighten bolts and nuts of holder and links securely.
37.Remove damper pulley. Do not press pulley or apply excessive force to prevent rubber portion from being deformed. Do not turn crankshaft pulley counterclockwise.
38.Remove timing chain cover by gently prying gaps between cylinder head and cylinder block, Fig. 6. Be careful not to damage contact surfaces of cylinder block, cylinder head and timing chain cover.
39.Remove timing chain tensioner.
40.Remove timing chain tensioner arm.
41.Remove timing chain.
42.Remove timing chain guide.
43.Reverse procedure to install, note following:
a.Torque timing chain guide bolts 14-17 ft. lbs.
b.Torque timing chain tensioner arm bolts to 14-17 ft. lbs.
c.Torque timing chain tensioner bolts to 80 inch lbs. Do not reuse detached tensioner. If required to reuse tensioner, remove tensioner, make piston to protrude maximally, push piston to end, and then mount stopper pin. At this time, tensioner pin should be placed in same way as when product was first delivered from factory.
d.Torque timing cover bolts (A, B) to 14-17 ft. lbs., Fig. 7.
e.Torque timing cover bolts (C) to 15-17 ft. lbs. Use new bolts, Fig. 7.
f.Torque timing cover bolts (D, E) to 29-36 ft. lbs., Fig. 7.
g.Torque timing cover bolt (F) to 80 inch lbs. Use new bolt, Fig. 7.
h.Torque crankshaft damper pulley to 144-152 ft. lbs.
i.Torque alternator M10 bolt to 22-30 ft. lbs., M8 bolt to 16-24 ft. lbs.
j.Torque engine support bracket nut to 47-62 ft. lbs., bolt and nut to 36-47 ft. lbs.
k.Fill engine with oil.
l.Fill engine with coolant.
m.Connect battery ground cable.
n.Start engine and verify correct operation.
o.Clear any DTC(s) with a suitably programmed scan tool.
